30 YEARS OLD
The structure of the blend is based on several medium dry wines from the years 1995 and 1998, aged in Barbeito’s canteiro warehouses. The aromatic intensity and increased acidity were achieved by adding a canteiro wine from 1954, which was highly concentrated (above 280g of sugar). Needing some finesse in the aroma and greater balance on the palate, 100 liters of wine from 1952, bottled in 1996, were used. In April 2024, 600 units were bottled, all numbered.
Amber colour, exquisite and fresh bouquet with notes of toasted nuts, brown sugar, caramel, peanut butter, and quince. Rich, slightly spicy palate, with a medley of flavours. Rounded with balanced acidity in a long-lasting bittersweet finish. Excellent as a digestif, with dessert, or cheeses.
