Sercial 1978
This Sercial 1978 began its ageing process in old French oak casks in March 1979 and was bottled for the first time in April 2001. After 29 years in casks, in December 2008 Ricardo Diogo transferred some of this wine into 64 litre demijohns. By doing so, it was his intention to avoid an excessive concentration, maintaining its elegance, with an ideal balance between acidity and sugar. From this demijohn number 87, 67 units of 750ml were bottled, all numbered and signed by Ricardo Diogo.

With a golden colour with greenish reflections, the wine expresses a fresh and enticing complexity. On the nose we sense notes of mint, pine, walnuts, cashew, dry white sultana and the sea breeze. On the palate it is intense, mineral, elegant with spicy citrus acidity, finishing with a delicate saline persistence.
