Made from the grapes of the Boal vineyards in the village of Campanário, situated on the South Coast of Madeira Island, this wine initiated it's ageing process in old French oak casks in March of 1983 and was bottled for the first time in 2007. After 30 years in casks, part of the wine was transferred in November of 2013, to demijohns of 64 litres. Our option of keeping the wine in demijohns was intentional, to avoid an excessive concentration, and maintain it's elegance, building an ideal balance between the acidity and the sweetness. From this demijohn, n⁰ 28, 70 units were bottled, all numbered and signed by Ricardo Diogo.

This wine presents a bouquet of intense freshness that exalts, simultaneously, pure and refined aromas. Notes of varnished wood, green tobacco leaf and caramelized nuts. Harmonious in the mouth and with a well balanced acidity. Persistent on a smooth honey-like ending. Excellent as a digestive or with a cigar.
